Anthony's Pier 9 sold, to be converted to New Windsor NY mov

NEW WINDSOR - Anthony's Pier 9, a landmark catering hall on Route 9W that has hosted countless weddings, corporate shindigs and political gatherings for 41 years, is set to be sold in June and turned into a movie production studio.
Those plans were announced Wednesday by owners Mike and Joe Bonura, operators of a string of Hudson Valley event spaces and restaurants that also includes the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel, West Hills Country Club in the Town of Wallkill and Blu Pointe restaurant on the Newburgh waterfront.
In a Zoom video call, the Bonura brothers attributed the sale to a pandemic they said had cost New York catering halls 95 percent of their normal revenue last year, due to closures and then drastic restrictions on guest numbers.
