Location: Senegal Project Description: The Center on Human Trafficking Research & Outreach’s African Programming and Research Initiative to End Slavery (APRIES) at the University of Georgia in the US is seeking a consultant to advise a program to combat sex trafficking in Senegal. APRIES manages a grant from the U.S. Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons to estimate and reduce the prevalence of sex trafficking in Senegal. The overall goals of our project are to measurably reduce sex trafficking in the Kédougou region of Senegal through the following objectives: Collect, analyze, and establish robust baseline data on the prevalence of sex trafficking of adolescent girls and young women aged 16 to 21 in Kédougou region hotspots.
