Nobles County adds just two cases in 24-hour reporting period. Written By: By Julie Buntjer | 11:37 am, Dec. 28, 2020 × REGIONAL — The number of individuals testing positive for COVID-19 in the area continues to decline, with just two new cases reported in Nobles County during the 24-hour period that ended at 4 p.m. Sunday. Meanwhile, Jackson and Murray counties each had one new case and Cottonwood, Pipestone and Rock counties had no new cases, according to this morning’s update from the Minnesota Department of Health. Statewide, another 1,087 Minnesotans tested positive for the novel coronavirus during the 24-hour period. Another 13 deaths were also recorded during the one-day reporting period. These included six individuals who resided in private residences and seven individuals in long-term care facilities. The cumulative death total from the novel coronavirus in Minnesota now stands at 5,160, including 3,339 residents of long-term care facilities.
