There’s no doubt that COVID-19’s impact has been great.
Our response to it must be equal or greater, and there is no better place to focus our efforts than on Arizona’s youngest students who will grapple with the effects of the pandemic the longest.
The Arizona Education Progress Meter shows the percentage of Arizona 3- and 4-year-olds enrolled in a quality early learning setting has declined 3 percentage points, from 22% in 2018 to 19% in 2019.
