(Dave Zajac/Record-Journal) March 15, 2021 04:52PM By Lauren Sellew, Record-Journal staff MERIDEN â The arrest warrant for a man charged in a February 2020 shooting states the motive appears to be gang related. Daniel Oslander, 33, of 104 Rockwell Ave., 2nd, Fl., New Britain, was arrested last week and charged with first-degree assault and criminal possession of a firearm. Police believe Oslander shot a man in the leg on Sherman Avenue last winter possibly in response to the killing of Francisco Huertas, who was fatally shot outside a home on Allen Avenue in August 2019, the warrant said. The man shot on Sherman Avenue was taken to Hartford Hospital and survived.
