LAKELAND – Lakeland artist Kate Hall has finished the "Crape Blossoms" mural on the south side of Low Country Vintage, an antiques store at 913 S. Florida Ave. in Lakeland. It is the first public artwork to be completed as part of the Lakeland Community Redevelopment Agency's Art Infusion Program for the Dixieland corridor. "I'm happy to have it done," Hall told The Ledger. "I've already had some other businesses ask me about working with them, and it's getting people excited about art." Hall had approached Allyson Barr, the owner of Low Country Vintage, about doing the roughly 100-foot by 25-foot mural on the side of the former home to Lundy's Bakery, purchased by Publix Supermarkets founder George Jenkins in 1950 to supply the chain's baked goods.
