donations for program Austin Energy is seeking donations from customers for its Utilities’ Customer Assistance Program, which helps customers who are unable to pay their utility bills due to unexpected emergencies. This year, additional utility relief funding, approved by the Austin City Council in April, was available to individuals affected by COVID-19. In fiscal year 2020, the program distributed $7.4 million in utility bill assistance to more than 14,000 households.
