Medical staff took Kibbe to the institutional health care facility, where he was later pronounced dead. The Amador County Sheriff’s Office is calling the death a homicide. Kibbe's cellmate has been moved to a different unit while authorities investigate Kibbe's death. No charges have been filed in the death of Kibbe, a former suburban Sacramento furniture maker whose brother was a law enforcement officer.
