BRUSSELS, BELGIUM — The Bahamas, represented by Ambassador H E Maria O’Brien, extraordinaire and plenipotentiary of The Bahamas to the Kingdom of Belgium and head of mission to the European Union, as of yesterday has access to the Climate Services and Related Applications Programme (ClimSA) initiative launched by the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS). The approximately $100 million (EUR 85 million) intra-ACP Programme is funded by the European Union (EU) under the 11th European Development Fund (EDF). ClimSA is the EU’s climate-based science initiative to help ACP countries achieve climate neutrality by 2050 as a component of the Paris Agreement and achieve United Nations sustainable development goals by 2030.
