It looked as though Google vs Oz was going to be the first pitched battle between Big Business and Big Brother but now it looks as if it will be FB vs Oz.
Google has settled its battle over whether it should pay for Aussie media content after threatening to withdraw its search service from Oz if a law was passed forcing it to pay for Aussie content.
Google has now said it will pay, and pay quite generously, and even the Dirty Digger did a deal with Google along with other big Aussie media groups.
Now, FB was gone the full hog and  turned off its news services to the Aussies in retaliation for the new law.
