A technological blunder left nearly three-quarters of Beaver County voting precincts with incorrect election results for nearly a week following November's hotly contested presidential election. In total, a combined 2,000 votes for President Joe Biden and then-President Donald Trump disappeared and reappeared from vote tallies. Corrections to the county's official results online were only made after a Times investigation brought the errors to the attention of now-retired county election Director Dorene Mandity. "It was human error, I guess my human error," Mandity told the Times. "When I went in to upload the new results, I loaded the backup file. Then, when I did that again, it didn't carry over the new results so I wasn't loading to the file with the most current results.
