As the demand for medical oxygen is rising due to the recent surge in Covid-19 cases in India, The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed a SpO2 (Blood Oxygen Saturation) supplemental Oxygen Delivery System that could help the current pandemic situation. The system, developed by DRDOâs Defence Bio-Engineering & Electro Medical Laboratory (DEBEL) in Bengaluru, is capable of delivering supplemental oxygen based on the SpO2 levels.
