Joe Biden talks with NASA (Screenshot) From Vice President Kamala Harris to Speechwriter Vinay Reddy, Indian-descent Americans are “taking over the country,” President Joe Biden declared Thursday. Biden made the claim during a virtual video call congratulating NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL) Perseverance team for a successful Mars landing. JPL’s Mike Watkins introduced Biden to Dr. Swati Mohan, NASA Mars 2020 Guidance and Controls Operations Lead, who thanked the president for taking the time to talk with her team. Biden was responding to Mohan’s expression of gratitude by saying that he was honored to be speaking with her, since “Indian-descent Americans are taking over the country.”
