The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert for AIDS Awareness took place on Easter Monday at Wembley Stadium, with an audience of 72,000. Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon’s show in their friend’s memory was kicked off by artists influenced by Queen including Metallica and Extreme.
