ALTON — Sydney Brunaugh and Jimmeilia Patterson of Alton High School have been named Students of the Month for May by the Alton Godfrey Rotary Club.
Brunaugh, the daughter of Jason and Nikki Brunaugh of Alton, is a member of the National Honor Society and currently has a 4.385 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, placing her in the top five percent of the senior class. She also was named as a Silver Medallion winner.
She was elected as the treasurer for Mu Alpha Theta, the math honor society and also participated in Saturday Scholars and the physics club. As a freshman, she was named Student of the Year in Digital Photography.
