When it comes to marijuana, experts say there isn’t much research on a possible relationship between weed and the vaccine, but there’s no cause for concern. “I don’t think it will influence [the] immune system in any way,” William Schaffner, MD, a professor of preventive medicine and infectious diseases at Vanderbilt University, told Refinery29. Also, for what it’s worth, some marijuana legalization activists have offered free joints to newly vaccinated individuals.
