Candlelight concerts return April 25 with a virtual performance COURTESY OF LAURA HARBOTTLE Violinist Ilana Zaks, and her brother, cellist Eric Zaks, will perform in the first virtual concert in the history of the Candlelight Concert Series at 4 p.m. April 25 via Zoom. Jewish-American violinist Zaks has performed with different orchestras including the Boston Civic, Rhode Island Philharmonic and Cape Cod Symphony. Ilana’s has produced a visual album, "The Persistence of Memory", released on Amazon Prime US and UK in July 2020. Eric is a cellist and undergraduate student at Tufts University. Born and raised in the Boston area, he is currently a student of Boston Symphony Orchestra member Mickey Katz. Eric is assistant principal cellist in the Boston Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. He has performed in Boston’s Symphony Hall and Carnegie Hall, as well as Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Vienna and Asia.
