Cape Cod restaurants: Dunbar House serves tea and more with comfort When Kate Wolstenholme was growing up in Bourne, her nana would take her to the Dunbar House Tea Room & Wine Bar, where they would meet Kate’s mom, Justine McLoughlin, for tea. “She loved to have afternoon tea and we went to several tea shops on the Cape — often Dunbar because my mom taught advanced biology at Sandwich High School so it was close by,” Wolstenholme says. Now, Wolstenholme owns and manages Dunbar House and her mother is the chief scone maker there. “It’s kind of nice to have a real scientist in there because precision is so important in baking. She’s turned her beakers into measuring cups,” says Wolstenholme.
