I attended the Northeast Regional Broadband Meeting at Northeast Power in Palmyra on Friday, June 11. Representative Louis Riggs was hosting the meeting and I think of him as the guru of Broadband. His broadband bill (HB1768) in 2020 has moved broadband Internet forward in Missouri and he has recently been appointed by Speaker Vescovo to serve as the chair of the Interim Joint Committee on Broadband Internet. Access to broadband internet is a driver for economic growth and rural community development.
