Cedric, who performs at Off The Hook Comedy Club in early June (see information box at end of story), returns to Florida an even busier guy. "The Neighborhood" has been a success for CBS, a sitcom about a white Midwest family who moves to a predominantly African-American neighborhood in Los Angeles. He plays Calvin, a curmudgeon trying to adjust to his new neighbors. The sitcom — which tackles race and other issues — began in 2018 and was renewed this past February for a fourth season. “The idea was people have these internal biases, not even based off race," he said of an original concept behind the show.
