You may be out of luck. Rehoboth Beach City Manager Sharon Lynn recommended canceling the city’s Fourth of July fireworks during a special meeting Tuesday afternoon. While Lynn did not announce an official decision, she said “it’s going to be virtually impossible to look at the mandates for fireworks (and) gathering in common municipal areas.” If the city would go forward with a fireworks display, Lynn and other city staff would have to consider the following: The city is responsible for contact tracing, or keeping track of who may have been exposed to COVID-19. In the event of a COVID-19 outbreak, the city must publish a press release.
