China blocks proscribing of Pakistan-based terrorist Makki,

Uniindia: New Delhi, June 17 (UNI) China yesterday placed a “technical hold” on a joint proposal by India and the US to list Pakistan-based terrorist Abdul Rehman Makki as a global terrorist under the Al Qaida Sanctions Committee of the UN Security Council. Sources have termed the decision by China as “extremely unfortunate” and said that it “signals double standards” on Beijing’s claim of combating terrorism.
