02/15/21 WorkersCompensation.com Oakland, CA (WorkersCompensation.com) - The California Commission on Health and Safety and Workers' Compensation (CHSWC) announces the reappointment of Mitch Steiger to the Commission. The Senate Rules Committee reappointed Mr. Steiger as a labor representative to serve on the Commission through December 31, 2024. Mr. Steiger is a legislative advocate for the California Labor Federation, AFL-CIO. The California Labor Federation, representing over 2.1 million workers statewide, fights to defend and improve the wages, benefits and working conditions of all Californians. Mitch's role is to advocate on behalf of workers in a variety of issue areas, including occupational health and safety as well as workers' compensation, and he participated in the stakeholder discussions that produced the worker's compensation reform legislation in Senate Bill 863 of 2012.
