FLURRIES of nominations for our Gloucestershire Care Heroes award continue to arrive at the Standard in recognition of carers’ dedication during the Covid crisis. Gail Hadland, who lives in Cirencester, is the latest hero to be nominated. She was put forward by her daughter Clare Meredith. “I am very proud to put forward my amazing mum,” said Clare. “She had a mini stroke at the beginning of this year but she took some time to recover and now she is back out caring within our community. “The thing that always warms my heart is when she tells me how attached she is to her clients.
