City says vaccine pilot program at ABC a success; more clinics planned for future FILE PHOTO and last updated 2021-02-02 13:15:51-05 CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â The city announced it took an hour and a half to process and vaccinate 500 people at the American Bank Center on Tuesday morning, estimating to around 300 people being vaccinated per hour. Participants for the pilot program were asked to start lining up at the bank center at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Vaccinations started at 8:00 a.m., and all participants were inoculated by 9:32 a.m. While the city considers this trial-run vaccine clinic a success, they do acknowledge their online pre-registration overbooking issue that they said was caused by a glitch in their software system. They have vowed to remedy the issue by giving those involved an opportunity for priority vaccination at the next scheduled drive-thru vaccine clinic.
