Cleveland Indians OF Jordan Luplow leaves game with left ankle sprain Updated May 17, 2021; Facebook Share CLEVELAND, Ohio — Indians outfielder Jordan Luplow left Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels with a left ankle sprain, the club said. Luplow injured the ankle in the third inning while running out a soft ground ball back to Los Angeles pitcher Patrick Sandoval. It’s the same ankle Luplow injured early in spring training, causing him to delay his exhibition debut with Cleveland this year until late March. Luplow’s injury is the latest in a string of tough luck for the 27-year-old southern California native. In 2019 he missed most of the month of August with a left hamstring strain. In 2020, he fought through lower back soreness during summer training camp.
