First, quickly, the dysfunction got so bad after the vote, we learned today that republicans cannot even stand to be in the same room together for more than a few minutes. I think the only way that changes is if we go a month without a speaker. We have multiple races, eventually people are desperate to put a speaker in. This is where i think it will get interesting. I worry that whoever runs for speakers would have to commit to no ukraine aid and of course, i have to tell, you i think hes going to be in the seat on, this and i can get into, that but i think it is important for five or ten members of the house, near refuse for anybody that wont bring ukraine to the floor for a vote. Tensions and members have been running pretty high for the last nine months. Anderson, you know, it with a small group of hardliners that are just making it impossible for us to run the house like it needs to be run. I would note just a tiny bit of amusement that one of the allegations that matt gaetz leveled as Speaker Mccarthy was, he had not passed 12 bills on the house floor yet. Part of the reason for that is that ease hardliners have been polling against bring in these Appropriation Bills to the floor. The spy, that kevin kathy managed to get 70 of Discretionary Spending through the house before the deadline, but for matt gaetz, all attention and chaos is what he sees. I am pretty frustrated still. I am angry. I try not to make decisions when im angry. I would counsel all my colleagues to just take a couple of deep breaths for the next couple of days. Before we make any decisions about accountability, before making decisions about who should be speaker of the house, lets make sure we are clear and focused on what can move the house in the right direction. Because anderson, if we do not the foundational problems of the oust republican conference, the new speaker is just going to be in the same old clown car, but a different driver. That will not get it done. So what are the foundational problems you see, obviously many of the things that mccarthy had to agree to in order to get the speaker job as mixed mcconnell pointed out made a job impossible. I think they are capable individuals, but we need to do a better job of putting them in a position to win, and mccarthy is as emotionally intelligent as anybody i have ever worked with. He listened as much as anybody i have ever served with. He really found and delivered some victories that many in the media and the house did not think he could deliver.
