Commentary: After the second time the BLM memorial was destroyed Special to The Enterprise Recently a friend of mine said that she was glad the BLM memorial in our city’s park had been removed. I sputtered through clenched teeth, “You know that it wasn’t just removed. It was destroyed.” It unnerved me that she seemed unconcerned that this destruction meant there are violent racists living among us. Later, when I had cooled down a bit, I realized that I, too, might have thought that this vandalism had nothing to do with me if it had not been for a profound education I had received in the tenth grade.
