Scout Troop 339 exceeds 8 million pounds of paper
FREMONT - During its paper drive in May, St Ann’s Scout Troop 339 exceeded the 8-million pound mark of newspapers collected over its 42 continuous years of quarterly paper drives. All of the papers were collected and hand loaded into semi-trucks by the Scouts and their leaders.
When products are made with this recycled newspaper, not only are raw materials saved, but other resources like oil and water are saved as well.  It also takes less energy, saves landfill space, and produces less air pollution.
