Houston attorney Tony Buzbee is now filing a $100 million lawsuit against ERCOT and Entergy on behalf of Pineda's family. According to Pineda's aunt, Jaliza Yera, the young boy had no underlying health conditions. She believes the brutal cold he experienced during the power outage was to blame for his death.
