Daily Post Nigeria Published Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, has called on the National Assembly to accede to the request of the indigenous peoples of Borno and create a Savannah State for them. HURIWA said it has convinced by the 9th Assembly, especially its efforts to carry out fundamental amendments of the Grund Norm to meet the aspirations of Nigerians of the 21st century and beyond HURIWA made the call in a town hall parley with the media and civil society organizations on Tuesday, where the activists, led by Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, said they have studied the presentation made by the indigenous people of Borno to the National Assembly and are convinced beyond the shadows of doubt that creating a Savannah State will add a greater economic boost to the National economy.
