Cornerstone University unveils nursing facility for new degree program Updated 3:32 PM; Facebook Share GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Fresh off the unveiling of a renovated facility, Cornerstone University is nearly set to start is new bachelor’s program in nursing. Cornerstone University opened the doors on its new Mary De Witt Center for Nursing this week. The facility will be paired with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program following approval this summer from the Higher Learning Commission. The $3.5 million, 8,100-square-foot facility is designed to look like a hospital wing and stocked with immersive technology, said Shawn Newhouse, senior vice president of Traditional Undergraduate Academics.
