Coronado puts himself on the map in short season [The Record, Stockton, Calif] Three months ago, Kimball junior quarterback Nicholas Coronado stood at the corner of South Lammers Street and Eleventh Avenue in Tracy and became a leading voice at Kimball for wanting high school sports back. “We are going to keep trying. We are not going to stop,” Coronado said on Jan. 15 as high schools across California held #LetThemPlay rallies to bring prep sports back. “We are going to keep fighting for what we want and what we believe is best for us kids.” A few months later, Coronado says that day was the turning point in getting high school football a five-game season.
