(Rachel Nunes/Patch) LAKEWOOD, OH — There have been more than 2,000 COVID-19 cases associated with a Lakewood ZIP code, according to the Ohio Department of Health. Since the start of the pandemic, the 44107 ZIP code has been home to 2,153 COVID-19 cases. That's up from 1,034 COVID-19 cases in mid-November. Another ZIP code which touches Lakewood, 44116, has had 842 COVID-19 cases among residents. Subscribe The virus has also been reaching into schools. According to the Lakewood Schools' state-mandated dashboard, as of Dec. 11, 15 students and staffers have tested positive for the virus. Subscribe The district said 24 students and staff are also currently quarantining because of possible exposure to the virus.
