News of the former mayor’s Aug. 20 nuptials is contained in an Amazon wedding registry website listing Jenny Fernandes and Jasiel Correia II. A source confirmed that the registry is accurate. Their engagement was announced on Fernandes' Facebook page on Dec. 29, 2020, where posted photographs show he proposed in front of the couples’ family members at Chanler Cliff Walk in Newport. Fernandes, who is an owner of Towne House & Douro Steakhouse on Purchase Street, was a constant companion of Correia’s during his nearly four-week trial that ended in a verdict this May.
