As more Americans get vaccinated and stores across the country adapt to new COVID-19 safety precautions, things are starting to open up. According to Richard Galanti, Costco's Chief Financial Officer confirmed that the store's food courts are set to make a comeback and believes that they will eventually return to normal operations but it's going to take some time. The chain shut down seating areas in its food courts at the start of the pandemic and in May they reopened but with a very limited menu for takeout only. So far they offer ice cream, churros and smoothies. Customers can soon expect to see tables and chairs in stores with outdoor seating areas.
