As more Americans get vaccinated and stores across the country adapt to new COVID-19 safety precautions, things are starting to open up. According to Richard Galanti, Costco s Chief Financial Officer confirmed that the store s food courts are set to make a comeback and believes that they will eventually return to normal operations but it s going to take some time. The chain shut down seating areas in its food courts at the start of the pandemic and in May they reopened but with a very limited menu for takeout only. So far they offer ice cream, churros and smoothies. Customers can soon expect to see tables and chairs in stores with outdoor seating areas. ....

It s been a year since students at LAUSD have stepped inside school and starting Tuesday, the district will begin to return students to the classroom in a phased-in approach. Kindergarten and first graders return to 72 schools for a few hours and starting the week of April 19th, the remaining elementary schools will reopen. Middle school and high schools will welcome back their students starting April 26th. All students returning to campus are required to receive a COVID-19 test. Part of the safe to return to school guidelines, parents must have their children tested, which will be followed by weekly tests at campuses and students will also have to answer a daily health screening questionnaire prior to entering their school.
