HOLIDAYS abroad are now allowed to some countries - but paying for required Covid tests could add hundreds of pounds to the cost of the trip. Portugal is one of the few countries on the UK's green list which will allow visitors to fly over without going into quarantine when they arrive or return. But Highworth Travel manager Claire Waldron advises holidaymakers to bear in mind the tests they will have to buy during their trip to prove that they are not infected with coronavirus. She said: "People don't realise the requirements that are needed, they just take the green list as a green light to go, it's not quite that simple.
