Lack of vaccine doses has county urging patience The state made it official on Wednesday that anyone age 65 and older may immediately receive the COVID-19 vaccine, but with limited doses available in Yolo County, officials here are asking for the public’s patience. “Please know that the issue is supply,” county spokeswoman Jenny Tan said on Thursday. “We do not have enough vaccines to vaccinate everyone at this time.” What doses the county does have are still being used to vaccinate healthcare workers, including hundreds who received shots at a drive-through clinic on Wednesday and more who will at two other clinics scheduled this week.
