COVID-19: Taylor County reports no new cases Monday
The Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Monday, as well as nine recoveries
Active cases declined to 168 (62 confirmed by polymerase chain reaction tests and 106 by antigen tests), down from 177 on Sunday.
Thirteen COVID-19 inpatients were reported at Abilene hospitals, two more than Sunday. The average age of the patients is 61, and seven live outside Taylor County.
The percentage of COVID-19 inpatients in the Abilene trauma service area was 1.53% Sunday, compared to 1.13% Saturday and 1.13% Friday, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services COVID-19 website.
