Following a slight increase at the beginning of March, statewide COVID-19 cases have dropped below 3,000. Meanwhile, more than 10% of Arkansas residents are now fully vaccinated. As of Monday, 848,983 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Arkansas, accounting for 60.2% of the stateâs total supply, according to the Arkansas Department of Health. Across the state, 10.4% of residents are fully vaccinated, and 19.4% have received at least one dose. With a vaccination rate of 17,033 doses per day, it will take an estimated seven months for 75% of Arkansasâs population to receive two doses of the vaccine. Members of the UA community eligible through phases 1A and 1B of the stateâs vaccination plan can now make appointments to receive their COVID-19 vaccine at the UA Pat Walker Health Center.
