While the number of positive COVID-19 test results continues to drop in Taylor County, the number of people calling to make an appointment to receive the vaccine through the local health department is also tapering off. “We have definitely seen a decrease in the number of people coming to us for the vaccine, but again that is in the priority (ages 65 and older) group,” Department of Health-Taylor (DOH-Taylor) Operations Manager Martine Young told city council members while providing a COVID-19 update at the city’s March 9 meeting.
