Four more Leon County residents have died because of COVID-19, the state health department confirmed on Monday. This includes two deaths that were recorded over the weekend. To date, 252 locals have died because of the virus, according to state data. Specific details, including the ages of the individuals, were not immediately available Monday. Leon has a total of 26,552 cumulative confirmed COVID-19 cases, according to state data. The county's two-week positivity rate is roughly 7.6%. One Wakulla County resident also has died because of the virus, the state health department reported. Wakulla County has a total of 43 deaths caused by the virus.
