When locals share the creativity that they uncover in the nooks and crannies of their community it brings about connectivity and makes us all feel good. Believe it or not, you discover creativity every day as you walk, shop, work, and play in Danbury. Creativity connects us. Is there an organization in town that makes you feel good? The Danbury Athletic Youth Organization (DAYO) and their efforts in mentoring our city's youth make me proud to be a resident of Danbury. This organization was formed in 1978. DAYO's current president and tireless leader is Nick Kaplanis. DAYO has countless past and current volunteer's that support their youth programs. I appreciate all of the volunteer's efforts in organizing, coaching, and developing team athletics for our community in Flag and Tackle Football, Track and Field, Cheerleading, Basketball, Lacrosse, and T-ball.
