The CCB apprehended a person who had deceived various NGOs by pledging to secure Corporate Social Responsibility funds for them. According to the Police Commissioner, the accused, Prathap, specifically targeted NGOs involved in welfare initiatives for senior citizens. He faced multiple cases of bounced cheques. The arrest followed complaints lodged at Halasuru and Peenya Police Stations. A chartered accountant initiated a case alleging that the man had defrauded 18 NGOs.
