CSPAN2 Campaign 2020 Evangelicals For Trump Event In Alpharetta GA July 12, 2024

Americas pastors, lets give it up for pastor franklin. Thank you all. You may be seated. First of all, first of all i want to say what a tremendous honor it is to be here with hall of you. Theres been very encouraging about getting together again. And especially with people love america, who love god, who loved the church and who love jesus. ,love worship. Who love the bible. And still believe jesus isthe answer. And ive just come tonight to first of all say what an honor it is to be here and i made a decision in 2016, paula and jonathan are just some of the greatest people that we have known for many many decades. Weve known you paula and now jonathan and the more that i know jonathan the greater my respect gets for him. Because hes just, theyre just a power couple in the kingdom of god, they really are and doctor jackson is here and wrap is here and doctor lee is here and im leaving somebody out there important im sure we are all here, not to list ourselves, not to talk about ourselves. We are very limited in our time. Ive got five minutes and im going to keep it, imgoing to be the only preacher that will keep it , you want but i had a thing come in my mind as i thought about our time here together. The urgency of the moment. This election is not about four more years. This election is about 37 more years. Because if our president appoints two more Supreme Court justices, its going to affect your children and your childrens children and the america that theygrow up in. And the thought that i wrote down a little raggedy piece of paper is this. Ive performed many weddings. Im sure all the preachers have here, doctor lee and they a lot of them have taken these were now in the modern day weddings and ceremonies in the ceremonies i can remember when we use to get to the very end and right before we would pronounce wethem man and wife we would make a statement that said if theres anybody here. Youd better not do that nowadays. But we would say if theres anybody here who doesnt agree with this man taking this woman in holy matrimony, heres the word. And i felt like this is strange i felt like this is what iwas supposed to say. Heres what we would say. Now or forever hold your peace. And im telling you, to all of you conservatives, to all of you bible believing christians, to all of you believe in life, the beauty of these little babies. To all of you who believe in supporting israel. To all of you believe in law and justice, now or forever hold your peace. You wont have anotherchance. Ev you wont have religion. You wont have freedom of religion, you wont have freedom of speech. You wont have the freedoms like we grew up with. If you dont speak now, you might as well forever hold your peace. Whatever youre going to say, say it now. I had to getoff the sideline. Im going to be criticized. Im going to be attacked. Im going to get all kinds of things said but im going to speak now or forever hold. The price is worth it. A battle is worth it. Stand up for america. And for the life. And for worship. And for freedom. And for the economy and jobs and making americagreat again. And up for justice. And for the quality. And. We dont have to choose one or the other. We are american and we love one another and we stand for freedom for all. Liberty and justice for all. Im down to my last 30 seconds. You all are getting mestirred up. And what im saying to you is i keep hearing and i never dreamed that we would have a governor in the United States of america would say i prevented the churches for gathering. I forbid them from singing. I forbid them from praying out loud in public. I never thought that would happen. So when people i thought were a little on the fringe would say were going to lose our freedoms, where going to lose our rights. Strange and im telling you now with all the conviction in my heart this election and listen to me, we have never had a greater friend in the oval office then donald trump. Everything hes promised, he has done. Ill let others tell what hes done what im telling you what i have experienced. What i have seen and leave the seated because you can clap on your own time. But what i have experienced, listen to me folks area theres none of these preachers in this for photo ops. How silly, how stupid area theres none of us that would risk our influence with. Masses of people if we didnt have deep, deep seated convictions that believe the battle for unborn babies is worth it. The battle for religious freedom is worth it. The battle for the first and second amendment, the freedom of speech, the freedom to gather, the freedom tobear arms is worth it. And the last thing i want to say is this battle, this change, this massive dismantling of the america that god has so blessed and prospered and used greater than any nation inthe history of the world. Its not years down the road that this will happen. Its not years away. Its three months away. We have come to the kingdom for such a time as this. Its get stirred in your spirits and speak up and to all of you volunteering, all of you taking stands, all of you working hard i salute you tonight. I thank god for you and the other i believe with all of my heart were going to see a mighty miracle and were going to see god bless this nation and blessed this resident with a tremendous miracle in november. If you believe it, get give god praise. They asked me to play one song. I dont feel good about following jonathan cain. He said a rock star in the rock hall of fame and ive got to pick up my little saxophone but i cant lose with the song im going to play and i hope it blesses you. [music was. [music] [applause] lets give it up forpastor jensen franklin. Oh my. Showing off a little bit there now. Thats good stuff brother. Thank you so much. Muim going to introduce Bishop Harry Jackson for you, i dont know what youre going to play, we hada rock n roll fo ahall of famer sing. We had a pastor just tear up a the saxophone and i cant wait to see what youve got is Bishop Harry Jackson is the Senior Pastor of Hope Christian church in bell way maryland. He is a trusted confidant of the president. He hes a harvard educated man of god who loves jesus and loves our country. Hes written in the new york times, the washington post, the s,associated press, charisma. Youve got a book coming out next month called manifesto. Christian americans ngcontract with minorities. And its an honor to have you with us Bishop Harry Jackson area lets give it up for bishop jackson. [applause] i love you too. Lets give jesus a clap offering. Can we do that . Wow. What an act to follow. Youmay be seated. Everybody played an instrument except for me. I play the radio. I do that quite well. As i was coming in this evening i was walking on a cane and i got a little weakness in my body and ive learned over the years to think about the challenge of healing and sickness in this way. If you ask me whats going on id say im going through a healing. Nearly 15 years ago i was diagnosed with what should be terminal esophageal cancer. Cancer of the esophagus. Most of you live about four months after the diagnosis and by the time there was a manifestation, you cant do much about it and it takes you out. And i learned during that time that when health challenges, you really got to submit yourself to god and all healing is a manifestation of gods grace and mercy. And i believe god took me through in that setting and hearing news that i had a 10 percent chance of living, and add up to five years and as you just heard was 15 years ago. Hallelujah. I had a stroke. I had all kinds of things. But god, can i tell you something . America is going through a healing. Weve got crisis over us and you can focus whether you want to or not on covid or racism or writing thats going on but god is looking down at us and hes declaring whats messed up in your body , what the prognosis is for certain folks. They say that america has got to shift towards darkness and evil and antichristian sentiment, but god is saying im in charge and im thinking you through a healing. Go aheadand give god a clap offering. Tonight im here to encourage you to encourage everyone of your friends to vote. I need you to be someone who is registered and engaged and is convincing other people. Register, engage and convincing otherpeople. Thats why ive written this book. The challenge of our day is righteousness and justice. Most white evangelicals that were looking through the lens of righteousness foryears , biblical right standing, believing that holiness is the key. That it is. Many minorities however have been looking to theother lens. A fence saying justice is what we need. How come our forefathers got this . I went back a little while ago. I was reading through some otof my notes. I remembered that in 2005 i sat in the office of senator frist with about six black preachers and he announced to us that he was going to make apologies to the nation for the people that died from lynching. At that time the senate and estimated that there were somewhere on the order of 4000 720 some odd individuals who had been which no one had been arrested. There was a lack of justice but he stood up on behalf of the nation and said our nation apologizes for their debts, for their childrens children. It takes a big person and indignation to say weve done something wrong and were going to make it right. [applause] so you got to understand that today, the lynching phenomenon which in this declaration they talk about racism and it being the ultimate act of racism, many were left right in the state. My father was raised in the southern part of georgia but i want you to understand that were not here to declare that you are are at fault, whites are at fault, mister trump isat fault. Were here to say on our watch we have anopportunity to bring healing. We have been set in a place that we can make a difference and to turn things around. This is destiny to create. Is that okay . [applause] so we can be an answer to a generationsprayer. Lincoln had an abolitionist dream to end slavery, isnt that right . King had a dream and were going to hear from his niece in a few minutes but i believe god has a dream for america. The you believe that . So im not going to go into all the details of my book but a manifesto as a contract. I have nine points, i dont have time to go through all of those but there are specific strategies involve the government and the church and the people working together. The church and the people working ndtogether. We can change this thingright now. So look that up, a manifesto, christian americans contract with minorities. Over a decade ago i was traveling on a trip to the great state of maine. I was going to address their about 1000 pastors. I had no idea what i was really going to say. I had a message preachers always have something they can reach the challenge is to do it tonight and to get the word no matter how obscure sounds to you but a word that heaven is declaring. So on my plane going to maine i dont know what to see and finally something drops into my heart. It would look up the connection between washington dc and maine. And i thought wait a minute. I never heard a connection other than maine is in the United States. So i was traveling, i began to look at my phone. I came across the fact that Harriet Beecher stowe wrote a book called Uncle Toms Cabin and her book was influenced at home state and influenced new england. As a result 10 percent of the whites in maine decided that they would enlist in the union army and fight for the freedom of slaves that were not existent in their states. They didnt have any slaves, they had no black people what they believed the word of god. And they felt by christian conviction that they are thought to change something because jesus said it was right. Somebody needs to give the lord a clap offering. So one day about 17 miles away from dc on the top of the hill in a major battle called gettysburg, there stood a former professor of religion. His name was Joshua Lawrence chamberlain. He later became a general so as he standing on the top of gettysburg, later in his writing he said ghe looked up and he saw an open vision from heaven. The vision showed him that if he lost the hill it would lose the civil war. He had come from the hollowed halls of this kind of theological training to a place of blood. Of bravery and death. So he saw them losing. Unless he did something. His men were out of ammunition. The confederates had charged twice. They were rallying haat the foot of gettysburg. They were about to run up that hill one moretime. And this time with no ammunition they would haveone. So chamberlain made a Bold Decision the likes of which im askingyou to make tonight. You need to engage even if its handtohand combat and what i mean by that is not physical, but verbally proclaiming, articulating , risking your space to make a difference in the nation and in eternity. He said to his men fix bayonets. And then he led the way. They charged the confederates. Who would do that, charging downhill your home or over. When they got the foot of the hill the confederates surrendered. One of his men said to him what should we do . We dont have any ammunition and chamberlain told him. They won gettysburg. They won the civil war. Because courageous men from maine were touched by a book written by a woman written under the inspirationof the holy spirit. Maine and dc. Isnt that amazing . And one last thing i also read that after the civil war was over, a former general from the union army sat before congress declaring that something needed to be done. 40 quality. Something needs to be done for these newly freed slaves. They finally decided theyd listen to the man after they said theyd listen to him, they read a remark to his bravery during the war. The remark and its intensity to make an Agricultural University and so they decided the name to the university after this white general from maine. His name was general howard from which Howard University gets its name. [applause] dont tell me christians cant change a nation. Dont tell me we cant reform america. Dont tell me our best days are over. America can be great again. Who believes that . Give god a clap offering. I want you to stand in your seat. Were going to pray ourfinal prayer. Psalm 68 one says let god rise and i want you to shout that phrase three times and then lift your hands to god and pray for about 30 seconds. Lets believe tonight that god is storing something here. God is starting something in the campaign. And just like me going healing, america is going through a healing. When god sets his mind to do anything he can do it, are you ready . Three times and a shout of prayer that god arrived and what . On the count of three. One, two, three. Let godarise and as enemies we stand. Let god arise. Let god arise. And his enemies disperse. Oh god move in america. Bless this campaign. Raise up donald trump one more time, amen. God bless you. Amen. Our next speaker is doctor ralph reed. Founder and chairman of the state and Freedom Coalition area and it was Senior Advisor to the bush and cheney campaigns 2000 2004. As the First Executive director for the Christian Coalition god used ralph to build one of the most strategic, powerful policy organizations in our country and he happens to be one of georges own. Lets give it up for doctor ralph reed. You todd, i appreciate that. Hello georgia. Are we going to carry this state for donald trump in november or what . Ia let me tell you, a group 50 million and change at us in 2018. And on the weekend before the election every poll showed that stacy abrams was going to be elected governor of georgia. But there was one littlething they left out. And that was the bible believing godfearing evangelical christians of the state of georgia. And on election day when every poll showed we were going to lose and we were going to end up with the most radical extreme out of the mainstream foreign left governor not just in the history of this state anywhere and the south, when they all told us we were going to lose, 35 percent of the entire vote was made up of born again evangelical christians and they voted 88 percent or ryan cant and only 11 percent for stacy abrams and he was elected by 55,000 votes and we are going to do itagain in november. For donald trump and for david perdue and for prolife and profamily candidates up and down the ballot. And ill tell you why. This is my message for the press, for the kids, for the media andthe pollsters. You dont get to decide who wins. You dont get to tell us who are president is going to be. We tell you who our president is going to be. And if you thought you were shocked, im just getting going. You guys are firing me up. Do you sense gods anointing in this place . About that saxophone solo by my friend anson jackson, i knew he can reach. I didnt know you could be in journey playing saxophone area doesnt god have a sense of humor . That donald trump with his imperfect past and with his personality and you know, ive got news for the self righteous. And for the media. God uses whoever he choosesto use. And hes not really interested in your opinion. He has a history of using the most unlikely of people to make a point. That hes in charge. Not the media, not the establishment, not rich , not the powerful reedit so on election day, 2016 when 81 percent of bible believing evangelical christians ordered for donald trump, the highest number ever recorded. The media was in shock. They had still not recovered. And they not only are attacking in every day, theyre attacking you every day. And theyre accusing you of being hypocrites and phonies and spiritual fraud inwho have sold out your faith. In order to back a man who is undeserving of your boat. And i just want to tell a little story, just to remind you of how wrong that really is. And how only not only politically right you were and are to back this man with everything youve got. But why you were morally and ethically right to do so. And i dont know where you were but there are certain events that have happened in my life where i have never forgot where i was. Never will forget. For many of the generations before me it was when john f. Kennedy waskilled in dallas. And i remember when reagan was shot, ill never forget where i was reedit ill never forget where i was when the challenger exploded. Never forget those moments. And on february 13, 2016 i was in Newport Beach california sitting next to my wife at a ministry conference. And i got the fox news alert that Antonin Scalia had been found dead at holding live in texas and we were getting ready to do a candidate for him in South Carolina
