Zippia just did a new study naming the favorite chip dip in each state and Connecticut, correctly, loves guacamole. They ran the study because February is apparently a very important chip dipping month. We have both the Super Bowl at the beginning of the month and National Tortilla Chip Day (yesterday 2/24/21). It turned out the most popular dip nationwide was salsa and guacamole was #2 in the U.S. No state chose hummus or chick peas overall and that's proof that America is still the greatest nation in the world, hummus, ugh. Zippia Zippia used Google Trends Data to find out what each state searched for disproportionately and we were googling guacamole like you read about. No surprise in coastal Maryland, they were up to the same old tricks googling crab dip.
