Cuba, EU ratify economic-trade relations Cuba, EU ratify economic-trade relations Havana, Jan 21 (Latin press) Cuba and the European Union ratified that the conditions to diversify economic-commercial relations are underway, Rodrigo Malmierca, minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX), said. On Twitter, Malmierca highlighted the the results of the 3rd Cuba-European Union Joint Council, held virtually on Wednesday, and also posted there is potential to boost economic ties, after learning about the status of bilateral cooperation, investment and trade. At the meeting, MINCEX's first Deputy Minister Ana Teresita Gonzalez presented the balance of bilateral trade and investment collaboration, in addition to informing a new 2021-2027 cooperation agenda will be negotiated in coming months.
