A Coachella Valley Unified School District director of security who is facing a misdemeanor charge for soliciting prostitution is no longer employed at the district, according to a spokesperson. Adam Sambrano Jr., 39 of Indio, was charged with a misdemeanor count last month in connection to a massive prostitution and anti-human trafficking sting conducted earlier in the year. CVUSD Community Engagement Manager Lissette Santiago told The Desert Sun by email that Sambrano had been released in late March. Charges were filed against him in early April. "The district takes allegations of this nature very seriously and is committed to ensuring the continued safety and well-being of its students and staff," Santiago wrote in the email. "Mr. Sambrano was released from his probationary employment with the District as the Director of security, effective March 26, 2021."
