GRAY â During football season, Jackson Jenkins delivered the game-winning touchdown pass for Daniel Boone in an upset win over Greeneville. He added to those heroics Tuesday on the basketball court by throwing a game-clinching pass against Unaka. Jenkins found teammate Breiydon Gilliam cutting to the basket and delivered a pass for a wide-open layup with nine seconds left in Booneâs 62-58 win over the Rangers at the Boones Creek Elementary School gym. With coach Chris Brown also calling him the quarterback of the basketball squad, Jenkins has shown a propensity of coming through in the big moments. âIt was a play Iâve known in the four years since Iâve been here,â Jenkins said. âIt was our last option, but somehow they got bunched up and I saw him out of the corner of my eye and threw it to him.
